I’d argue that sustainable or not the pace you’re referring to is a mirage, especially at scale. As you well know coding is one small part of the whole story of a software business, or software development in a different business. The other parts simply do not accelerate along with the coding part.

@canneddragons seems unlikely that Bandcamp will disappear but regardless this news is terrible for the folks losing their jobs. It’s not good when a company loses its culture this way either as it gets transformed from someone’s passion to just a revenue source.
